Debabrata Nayak appointed CTO at Digital India Corporation

Debabrata Nayak has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at Digital India Corporation, which spearheads the Digital India initiative. Nayak has joined Digital India after taking voluntary retirement from NIC, where he was a senior technical director. Nayak served in National eGovernance Division (NeGD), a unit of Digital India till very recently on deputation.

He was responsible for building many popular government apps such as DigiLocker, National Data Exchange and for scaling up CoWIN. In NeGD, he was responsible for other initiatives such as Umang, Poshan Tracker for Anganwadi program etc.
