If morning indeed shows the day, the CIO movements seen in the last two years may continue in 2016 as well. Some of the top CIOs have moved to take on newer responsibilities recently.
Keeping in with a nascent but growing trend of Indian CIOs taking over global positions, Alpna J Doshi, the erstwhile CIO of Reliance ADAG and Reliance Communication has assumed the Group CIO position of Royal Philips Netherlands this month. She was in Reliance for six and half years.
Another long-serving CIO Rajeev Batra of Sistema Shyam (MTS India) too left the company to join as the CIO of Benett Coleman & Co (Times of India Group) in February.
Maanoj Shrivastava, another veteran in the company who has served in the company for more than five years has taken over as Executive Director, IT and National IT Head. He was Director-IT & Head-Integrated Technology and IT Governance at the company.
Sachin Gupta who served as CIO of Benett & Colemann for more than three years has left to join as the CIO of electrical goods maker Havells India.
Prasad Patil, who was earlier serving with Essar Group in various IT positions for more than five years has joined as the Chief Technology Officer of shipping major J M Baxi Group.
