India, China have highest number of IoT developers: Evans

Most of the IoT development being done on mobile phones. 34% IoT developers have increased with 14% increase in mobile phone IoT developers

India is gearing up for the next big wave of Internet of things (IoT). India and China are the basic developers of IoT in the Asia Pacific Region. As per Evans Data Corporation, India along with China has kept the number of developers highest in APAC across the world and will sustain that for years to come.

 

There has been a 34% increase in IoT developers across the world since last year, as per Evans.

 

Most of IoT developments done are being done in the mobile devices areas. There has 14% more developers working in IoT for mobile since last year, as per Evans Data Corporation. This has made the smart phones most commonly connected IoT platform, worldwide.

 

Four major regions deriving the development of IoT are - APAC, EMEA, North America and Latin America. APAC is leading the pack with nine hundred thousand more developers than EMEA. Growth of developers in India and China are predicted to sustain APAC’s lead for the next several years. Russia expected to provide strong growth and dominate Eastern Europe region
