Excerpts from the interview:
Challenges that will be faced by your industry by the year 2020?
There have been a lot of aggressive changes being made by the regulators within India and outside. This has been the cause of driving security within the industry in India. I would expect that all the new products from the technology perspective, even what is being developed by Microsoft, also put in the necessary security features, which is also auditable. Auditing is going to continue and will only increase because of regulations, boards involving more proactively and client expectations.
What should comprise a CIOs agenda in 2020?
There is lot of efforts going on in building the security culture, conducting risk assessments and addressing those risks within the organization. Besides, there is a possibility that it will bring in some impediments in the way business operations and productivity take place. So organizations need to understand that every industry is different and hence figure out the common medium between enabling and securing the business.
Challenges with rapid evolvement of technology by 2020?
Challenges will be there in areas of adapting to new technology and thinking proactively to various possibilities. The flexibility and sustainability of technology has to evolve with changes in both the internal and external environment.
