CSO Next is India’s first and only program that recognizes the potential of experienced technology professionals & business executives to take on the responsibility of leading the information security function. CSO Next annually identifies and awards 30 experienced senior executives and managers who have the skills, ability and motivation to become Chief Information Security Officers (CSOs).
This year was embarked by the entry of CSO Awards and the gallery indeed looked glamorous. The 2 day event had number of highlights which were impressive and informative too. The event was flagged by a session on technology trends and impact on Cyber Security by Vishal Salvi, Partner - Cyber Security, Price Waterhouse Management Consultants . The day included discusion on trending issues like Microsoft Lumia for Business & Windows Phone Security and sessions like Security Café , case study on implementing Wi-Fi Security and Definable Security . Later cocktails and delicacies rejuvenated security leaders for day 2.
Strategic Directions for new age CSOs commenced the day , Felix Mohan, Founder & CEO, CISO Academy highlighted key areas, it was then followed by a session on the evolving security landscape by Subhash Subramanian, CISO, ICICI Bank. After detailed panel discussions and in depth presentations , awards were a delight . Victory for participants was a bliss but honor gave it a back seat .The enthusiasm , spirit and a strong desire to lead enhanced the level of the event.
