NEXT100 winner Upkar Singh has been appointed Head of IT at Paradeep Phosphates, marking a significant leadership move as the company strengthens its digital and technology-driven transformation journey.
In his new role, Upkar will lead enterprise IT strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and application modernization initiatives, with a strong focus on driving operational efficiency, scalability, and business-aligned technology outcomes across the organization.
Prior to this appointment, Upkar served as Corporate IT Head at Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, where he spearheaded large-scale digital transformation initiatives across multiple India and international locations. His work included smart factory programs, application modernization, and enterprise-wide digital strategy execution aimed at maximizing IT value and reducing total cost of ownership.
Earlier, he held the role of Vice President – IT at RMSI, where he led global IT and security transformation as a change agent, strengthening operational excellence, cybersecurity posture, compliance, and cost optimization across geographies. His initiatives resulted in measurable improvements in service efficiency, reduced cyber risk exposure, and significant cost savings.
Upkar spent nearly a decade at FIS (formerly Clear2Pay), where he played a pivotal role as Director – IT, supporting global IT strategy, M&A integration, and cultural transformation at one of the world’s leading fintech organizations. His earlier experience also includes leading data center modernization and e-governance initiatives at DIMTS, along with foundational IT leadership roles across SaaS, enterprise applications, and infrastructure environments.
With deep expertise in digital transformation, IT governance, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, and business-aligned technology leadership, Upkar Singh’s appointment is expected to significantly strengthen Paradeep Phosphates’ IT capabilities and support its long-term growth and modernization agenda.
