ESDS brings DevSecOps tools together with Swaraj Sethu

ESDS Software Solution has unveiled Swaraj Sethu, a unified DevSecOps platform engineered in India. The platform brings several parts of the software delivery lifecycle into a single workspace, including source control, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Kubernetes operations, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, secrets management, observability, and security.

The company says the platform is aimed at enterprises that need greater control over applications, infrastructure, and data. Swaraj Sethu is also positioned as an extension of the Swaraj ecosystem, complementing Swaraj Cloud, ESDS’s AI Autonomous Architect Cloud Platform.

Bringing the DevSecOps stack together

Enterprise technology teams often work across separate tools for development, deployment, infrastructure management, monitoring, and security. Swaraj Sethu brings these functions into a common platform.

Its capabilities include source control and CI/CD, multi-cluster Kubernetes operations, infrastructure-as-code, configuration automation, log management, metrics, observability, and integrated security controls.

The platform also includes enterprise access and governance features. These include multi-tenancy, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on, secrets management, context switching across tenants and environments, and audit trails.

ESDS says Swaraj Sethu provides more than 88 granular RBAC permissions. These controls allow organisations to manage access across teams, projects, and operational environments.

Security functions are integrated into the software delivery process. They include vulnerability scanning, container image signing, software bill of materials generation, and infrastructure-as-code security scanning.

Focus on regulated environments

ESDS has positioned Swaraj Sethu for organisations with security, governance, and data-residency requirements. The platform is supported by the company’s ISO-certified operational and security environment.

Its provider-agnostic architecture supports deployment across different geographies. This is intended to address requirements related to data residency, security, infrastructure control, and operational governance.

Piyush Somani, Managing Director and Chairman, ESDS Software Solution Limited, said the growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure is also increasing the need for software to be developed, secured, deployed, and governed at greater speed.

He said Swaraj Sethu brings source control, CI/CD, Kubernetes operations, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, observability, security, and governance into one engineering environment.

Somani also said Swaraj Sethu is part of the broader Swaraj Cloud ecosystem, which now includes more than 52 services spanning cloud, compute, AI, security, operations, and enterprise technology.

Two deployment options

Swaraj Sethu is available through two deployment models.

The self-hosted product deployment allows regulated organisations, including those in banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), government, public-sector undertakings (PSUs), and other sensitive sectors, to run the platform on customer-managed Kubernetes infrastructure. This includes isolated and air-gapped environments.

The Software as a Service (SaaS) deployment is available through Swaraj Cloud and runs on ESDS-managed infrastructure.

Komal Somani, Whole Time Director, ESDS Software Solution Limited, said digital sovereignty is becoming an important consideration for enterprises. She said the platform extends the integration and control offered by the Swaraj ecosystem into the software lifecycle.

India will be the initial go-to-market focus for Swaraj Sethu. ESDS said its provider-agnostic architecture also provides a foundation for expansion into other regulated markets with similar data-residency and compliance requirements.

The platform is part of ESDS’s broader portfolio of cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, disaster recovery, AI factories, and DevSecOps offerings. The company is headquartered in Nashik, Maharashtra, and operates Tier-III data-centre infrastructure.
