Abhishek N. has joined Avendus as Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), where he will lead the firm’s enterprise-wide information and cybersecurity strategy, strengthening cyber resilience across Avendus’ diversified financial services businesses.
In his new role, Abhishek will focus on security governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, security operations, and technology risk, aligning cybersecurity initiatives with business growth and evolving regulatory expectations.
Prior to this appointment, Abhishek served as Head – Security Testing and SOC Operations at SBI Mutual Fund. There, he led application and infrastructure security, SOC transformation, SIEM and SOAR automation, threat hunting, red team exercises, DPDP compliance, SEBI CSCRF implementation, and board-level security reporting. He played a key role in DevSecOps adoption, data protection initiatives, cloud security, and zero-trust deployments.
Earlier, Abhishek held senior information security roles at Tata Technologies and eClerx, where he managed enterprise ISMS programs, cloud security, risk and compliance, internal and external audits, and client-facing security governance. His career foundation includes hands-on experience in network and infrastructure security at Asian Paints and Ericsson.
With deep expertise spanning SOC operations, application security, cloud security, GRC, regulatory compliance, and board-level cyber risk management, Abhishek N.’s appointment strengthens Avendus’ commitment to robust, future-ready cybersecurity leadership.
