Animesh Kumar has joined BASIC Home Loan as Head of Information Security, strengthening the organization’s focus on cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
Animesh brings over a decade of experience across information security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), with deep exposure to BFSI, NBFC, fintech, and consumer-facing enterprises. In his new role, he will lead enterprise-wide information security strategy, cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, and resilience initiatives.
Prior to this, Animesh served as Chief Information Security Officer at UGRO Capital, where he drove cybersecurity strategy, SOC operations, data privacy alignment, board-level reporting, and business continuity planning. He also founded Raga Future Security, delivering end-to-end cybersecurity and privacy solutions.
Earlier in his career, Animesh held key roles at Jubilant FoodWorks, HCL Technologies, Biz2Credit, UnitedHealth Group, and Tata Consultancy Services, building strong expertise in ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, cloud security, third-party risk, audits, and security awareness programs.
At BASIC Home Loan, Animesh is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing cyber maturity, safeguarding customer data, and supporting secure business growth in an increasingly regulated digital financial ecosystem.
