Bhawesh Thakar has stepped into the role of Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, where he will lead the organization’s digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise technology roadmap.
In his new position, Bhawesh is spearheading digital innovation initiatives and IT operations to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth. His focus includes process automation, enterprise system modernization, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives across functions. As CDIO, he is working closely with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and future-ready digital ecosystem for the group.
Prior to this, he served as Head of IT Infrastructure and GRC | Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at AWL Agri Business Limited, where he led IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance, risk, and compliance initiatives. His tenure involved strengthening enterprise security posture, SAP implementations, and building resilient IT operations frameworks.
Earlier, Bhawesh held multiple leadership roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., including Head of DevOps and National Head – IT Solutions Engagement and Delivery. He led large-scale ERP implementations across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, built digital supply chain capabilities, and drove automation and process optimization initiatives across manufacturing and distribution networks.
With over two decades of experience spanning IT infrastructure, ERP, DevOps, cybersecurity, supply chain digitization, and enterprise program management, Bhawesh’s appointment as CDIO marks a significant milestone in Wagh Bakri Tea Group’s journey toward accelerated digital transformation and operational excellence.
