Kyndryl has announced additional features to its Agentic AI Framework aimed at helping organizations move from pilot projects to broader AI deployment. The updates include a new design process and engagement method to support the development of AI-based workflows in areas such as government, banking, insurance, and manufacturing.

The company is using its engineers, methodologies, and intellectual property through Kyndryl Vital to co-create projects with customers, reducing the time between design and deployment. This approach focuses on building customized AI systems aligned with operational needs.

Martin Schroeter, Kyndryl Chairman and CEO, said the company’s AI consult methodology and experience in managing infrastructure form the basis for supporting enterprises adopting agentic AI. The Framework incorporates agents into existing environments and emphasizes compliance, security, and transparency.

Kyndryl reports that about a quarter of its current contracts include AI-related work across data architecture, cloud, and digital workplace services. The company is also working with alliance partners and universities to create solutions and training opportunities connected to the Framework.

The Framework includes an “agent builder” tool that uses reference architectures and pre-defined workflows to help organizations design, test, and deploy AI agents. These agents are applied to activities such as writing code, running tests, or automating business processes.

Practical applications include insurance use cases for regulatory workflows, government process automation across departments, and banking systems that simplify and accelerate customer onboarding.
