Celebrates thirty years of service to the Nation

NICSI, established in 1995 under NIC and MeitY celebrated its 30th foundation day on August 29, 2025. Over the years NICSI had become the trusted partner to central ministries, state governments, and various public sector bodies.

Speaking at the occasion Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & IT and Commerce & Industry, Shri Jitin Prasada said “Technology is changing very fast and our focus should not be that, few can be benefited but bottom-up approach where people at the ground be also benefited. As we move towards an era of Artificial Intelligence to Block-chain to Internet of Things, NICSI has to continue to reinvent itself—focusing on innovation, capacity building, and sustainable solutions. NICSI has made products like AI-MEDHA which speak of innovative initiatives developed by NICSI”

At the event 10 Ministries and 15 States were felicitated for their long term association with NICSI. The Ministries which were felicitated were Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Department of Justice, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Finance, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

The States which were felicitated included Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Abhishek Singh, Chairman, NICSI gave a brief on NICSI services. Elaborating the role of NICSI he said, “NICSI is going strength to strength. In the last 10 years, NICSI has seen a compound annual growth rate of 13.17%, with 32% growth during 2024-25 and has achieved a turnover of ₹ 3110 crores.”

Over the years, NICSI has played a transformative role by supporting Digital India initiatives and e-Governance projects. Today, NICSI stands as a trusted partner of the Government of India.

NICSI is expanding its wings and spreading in areas like AI-MEDHA which aims to provide AI-as-a-Service for Government applications. NICSI is further working on cyber security services as platform. It is also looking in DPDP Compliance service platform. Enhancing capacity building and providing secure cloud services is another landmark in NICSI’s journey.
