Rahul Dayal has joined SBI Mutual Fund as Chief Technology Officer, strengthening the organisation’s leadership as it continues to scale its digital and technology capabilities across India’s fast-evolving asset management landscape.
In his new role, Rahul will be responsible for driving SBI Mutual Fund’s end-to-end technology strategy, with a focus on platform modernization, digital innovation, governance, cybersecurity, and scalable architecture to support business growth, investor experience, and operational excellence.
Prior to this, Rahul served as Executive Director & CTO at WhiteOak Capital, where he led enterprise-wide technology transformation initiatives, aligning IT strategy with business expansion and digital-first investment operations. Before that, he spent over three years as Head of Information Technology at Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, where he established robust technology governance frameworks, implemented scalable and cost-efficient digital platforms, launched investor and distributor digital channels, strengthened cloud adoption, and partnered with fintech ecosystems through open APIs.
Earlier in his career, Rahul held senior leadership roles at RBL Bank, where he headed the Business Solutions Group for Retail Banking, overseeing applications, digital banking platforms, data lakes, enterprise architecture, and large-scale transformation programs. His experience also includes delivering complex banking and financial services programs at L&T Infotech, HTC Global Services, and leading technology initiatives across consulting and delivery roles early in his career.
With nearly three decades of experience across mutual funds, banking, and financial services technology, Rahul Dayal brings deep expertise in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, governance, and large-scale program delivery. His appointment is expected to play a key role in advancing SBI Mutual Fund’s technology-led growth and innovation agenda.
