Redis has appointed Abhoy Kumar Sarkar as Country Manager & Managing Director for India and SAARC, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating growth in one of the world’s fastest-expanding AI and cloud markets.
In his new role, Abhoy will be responsible for setting and executing Redis’ regional strategy, driving sustainable growth, and positioning Redis as a foundational platform for AI and real-time data innovation across India. He will lead go-to-market strategy, customer expansion, and partner ecosystem development while aligning regional execution with global priorities. A key focus area will be accelerating AI and GenAI adoption among enterprises and digital-native organizations.
Prior to joining Redis, Abhoy served as Regional Vice President at Zscaler, where he consistently grew the India business, built new verticals, and led high-performing sales teams to exceed revenue and platform adoption goals. He was also an active industry speaker and leadership voice in cybersecurity and cloud transformation.
Earlier, during his long tenure at Microsoft, Abhoy held multiple senior leadership roles, including Sr. Director – IT Services Vertical and Director – Sales Excellence (COO for Enterprise Business). He managed multi-billion-dollar enterprise portfolios, drove cloud transformation at scale, and built high-performing teams aligned with Microsoft’s growth and compliance frameworks.
He also held leadership positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he led enterprise accounts, product strategy, and services growth initiatives, delivering strong revenue acceleration and margin expansion.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning cloud, enterprise sales, cybersecurity, AI platforms, and digital transformation, Abhoy Kumar Sarkar’s appointment signals Redis’ strong push to capture long-term value in India’s rapidly evolving AI-driven economy.
