Seasoned technology leader Sambasiva Rao Gattu has taken on the role of Head IT – CTO, CIO & CDO at Seven Islands Shipping Ltd., where he will spearhead the company’s digital and IT transformation across the maritime sector.
With over two decades of diverse experience spanning port operations, smart port initiatives, digital transformation, and enterprise IT, Sambasiva brings a powerful blend of strategic vision and hands-on expertise to the role. At Seven Islands, he will focus on aligning digital innovation with operational excellence—bridging office and vessel environments through integrated, secure, and data-driven systems.
Prior to this, Sambasiva led technology functions at JSW Jaigarh Port Ltd., Adani Gangavaram Port, and Karaikal Port, where he successfully implemented Smart Port frameworks, ERP integrations, predictive maintenance systems, and Maritime 4.0 initiatives. His leadership has consistently transformed IT infrastructure, optimized fleet and crew management, and enhanced cybersecurity and operational resilience.
Sambasiva’s extensive expertise in IT infrastructure, project management, marine operations, and digital strategy positions him as a pivotal force driving Seven Islands Shipping’s digital-first future.
