Sheeladitya Mohanty joins OpenAI as Marketing Lead – India

Sheeladitya Mohanty has taken on the role of Marketing Lead – India at OpenAI, where he will be responsible for driving education, adoption, and the responsible use of OpenAI’s products across diverse audiences to make AI more accessible and impactful across India.

With over 15 years of experience spanning technology marketing, brand building, and go-to-market strategy, Sheeladitya brings a wealth of expertise in scaling global technology platforms in India and APAC.

Prior to joining OpenAI, Sheeladitya held pivotal leadership roles at Meta, Microsoft, Nokia, and Procter & Gamble, where he spearheaded high-impact campaigns and drove adoption of cutting-edge technologies. At Meta, he led marketing for Meta AI, Facebook, and the family of apps across APAC, shaping brand perception, launching award-winning campaigns, and driving product adoption in highly competitive markets. Earlier, at Microsoft, he championed cloud, mobility, and app ecosystem growth by building strategic partnerships with ISVs and developers.

Sheeladitya’s extensive experience in integrated marketing, technology evangelism, and brand transformation positions him as a key leader in advancing OpenAI’s mission in India, enabling businesses, developers, and communities to responsibly embrace the potential of AI.
