New Relic has named Simon Rizkalla as the Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ). With over two decades of distinguished leadership across global technology enterprises, Simon will drive New Relic’s mission to elevate customer success and advocacy across the dynamic APJ region.
Simon brings a remarkable track record of transforming customer engagement, fostering innovation, and leading cross-functional teams across observability, AI, SaaS, and cloud ecosystems. In his new role, he will focus on amplifying customer experiences, strengthening strategic partnerships, and championing value-driven digital transformation for New Relic’s diverse enterprise clientele.
Prior to joining New Relic, Simon held senior leadership positions at AppDynamics, Cisco, Red Hat, and Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia), where he led large-scale business transformations across Asia-Pacific, Japan, China, and EMEA. Most recently, as EVP of Observability (APJ & EMEA) at AppDynamics, he spearheaded the SaaS business transformation, achieving 60% growth in Q1 following major organizational restructuring.
Beyond corporate leadership, Simon co-founded HybridAI, an AI-driven venture in Singapore, and continues to serve as a Senior Advisor at Salamander Advisory Services, empowering VCs and AI startups to scale across Asia. His deep expertise across AI, IoT, SaaS, and cybersecurity, coupled with a customer-first philosophy, positions him as a strategic catalyst for New Relic’s growth and advocacy vision in the region.
