Somak Shome has started a new role as Head of (Enterprise) IT at JAC OLIVOL, where he will lead enterprise-wide IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology governance across the group’s operations.
Somak brings over two decades of deep expertise in cybersecurity, IT risk, governance, and enterprise technology leadership. Prior to this move, he served as Managing Principal (Consulting), Cybersecurity and Global Head – Cybersecurity GRC Practice at LTIMindtree. In this role, he led global cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, helping enterprises strengthen resilience and align security strategy with business growth.
Earlier, he held leadership roles at Mindtree, Wipro Limited (as Director & Regional CISO for Europe), IBM, and PwC India, where he drove large-scale security transformation programs, regulatory compliance frameworks, and enterprise risk strategies across global markets.
His earlier industry experience includes serving as Vice President – IT & Group CISO at Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited, where he led IT modernization, information security governance, and business continuity initiatives.
With a strong foundation in network security, IT risk management, and cybersecurity strategy—shaped through roles at Tech Mahindra, HCL Comnet Ltd, and other global firms—Somak’s appointment signals JAC OLIVOL Group’s commitment to strengthening enterprise IT, enhancing cyber resilience, and enabling secure digital growth.
