Ganesh Lakshminarayanan has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Communications, marking a key leadership transition for the global communications and digital services provider.
Ganesh brings with him deep experience in building and scaling large technology-driven businesses across telecom, enterprise services, SaaS, and global IT. Most recently, he served as MD and Group Vice President for India and SAARC at ServiceNow, where he led regional growth, customer engagement, and strategic expansion across South Asia.
Prior to ServiceNow, Ganesh was CEO of Airtel Business India and earlier led Airtel Enterprise Business, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Airtel’s enterprise and B2B portfolio. His career also includes senior leadership roles as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at Capillary Technologies, as well as advisory roles with EY and Sequoia Capital, where he worked closely with high-growth startups.
Ganesh has also held multiple global leadership positions at Dell, including President and Managing Director of Dell India and Vice President roles overseeing Asia Pacific, Japan, and global consumer services, where he was instrumental in scaling operations, driving transformation, and strengthening India’s role in Dell’s global growth story.
With a strong blend of global operating experience, enterprise technology leadership, and strategic vision, Ganesh Lakshminarayanan’s appointment is expected to further accelerate Tata Communications’ transformation into a digital-first, customer-centric, and globally competitive technology powerhouse.
