Tata Communications will deliver a secure, scalable digital fabric of solutions to modernise GSTAT operations nationwide.

Tata Communications has been awarded a major project by the Ministry of Finance to provide digital infrastructure for the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). This initiative will create a modern, secure, and connected ecosystem that supports the tribunal’s role in resolving GST-related disputes across the country.
The GSTAT will have a principal bench in New Delhi and 31 state benches, aimed at reducing legal delays, simplifying tax processes, and boosting investor confidence. To support this vision, Tata Communications will deliver a comprehensive “digital fabric” of solutions, including advanced networking, cloud services, IoT, video conferencing, and security systems. These capabilities will be managed under a unified framework to ensure smooth operations nationwide.
The new infrastructure is designed to automate workflows, enhance transparency, and improve efficiency. With predictive analytics, chatbots, and secure data transfer, it will provide stakeholders with a seamless and reliable experience. Among the key benefits are faster case handling, nationwide accessibility, and stronger data protection.
Commenting on the announcement, Sumeet Walia, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, said Tata Communications is “honoured to partner with the Ministry of Finance and build the digital backbone for GSTAT.” He added that the project aligns with India’s broader Digital India vision, supporting innovation and trust in governance.
This partnership reflects Tata Communications’ continued role in powering large-scale national projects and building the digital infrastructure needed to strengthen India’s economy.
