V V Subba Raju has taken on a new role as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at iBASIS, strengthening the company’s leadership in information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
In his new position, Subba Raju will be responsible for defining and executing the enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, strengthening security architecture, managing risk and compliance frameworks, and ensuring resilience across iBASIS’s global technology landscape.
Prior to joining iBASIS, he served at NTT DATA Business Solutions as Senior Director – CISO & DPO for APAC and India, where he led regional security strategy, enterprise risk management, incident response, BCP/DR, and ISO 27001:2022 implementation. He also held the role of Director – IT & Networks, overseeing IT operations across India and Qatar while acting as CISO and DPO.
Earlier in his career, Subba Raju was Head – IT Infrastructure & Information Security at CallHealth, where he led large-scale IT operations, cloud platforms, information security governance, and compliance initiatives. He has also held leadership roles at Dhanush InfoTech, Capgemini, and Microland, managing global IT operations, service delivery, and security programs across multiple geographies.
A veteran with experience spanning IT operations, cybersecurity leadership, and enterprise risk management, V V Subba Raju’s appointment as CISO at iBASIS is expected to play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s security posture as it continues to expand its digital and global operations.
