Vishal Khavnekar has been appointed as Vertical Head – Information System Audit at Aditya Birla Capital, strengthening the group’s technology risk, audit, and assurance leadership.
In this role, Vishal will lead the IT and technology audit charter across the organization, covering IT General Controls, cybersecurity, cloud and API security, data protection, network security, digital platforms, and business continuity, with a strong focus on risk-based audit planning and independent assurance.
Prior to this, he served as Group EVP & Head of IS Audit at YES BANK, where he oversaw enterprise-wide technology audits across IT, applications, infrastructure, and cyber domains. He has also held senior leadership roles in information security and technology audit at LTIMindtree, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Reliance Industries Limited, and Vodafone, managing complex audits across financial services, telecom, and large digital ecosystems.
With deep expertise across IT governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management, Vishal’s appointment reinforces Aditya Birla Capital’s continued focus on robust technology governance, resilience, and risk oversight in an increasingly digital-first environment.
