Rejin Surendran has joined Britannia Industries Limited as Chief Digital & Information Officer, based in Bengaluru.
Prior to joining Britannia Industries, Surendran served as Global CIO at Wipro Enterprises Limited, where he led digital and technology strategy for a $2 billion diversified organization spanning FMCG, Industrial, Automation and Aerospace businesses. He managed a global team of more than 150 professionals across 17 countries.
During his tenure at Wipro Enterprises, Surendran led the development and execution of the group’s digital transformation roadmap, including S/4HANA migration, cloud transformation, data and analytics strategy, GenAI initiatives, Industrial IoT, shop-floor automation and cybersecurity. He also drove the adoption of Google Cloud as the primary hyperscaler and Microsoft Azure as the secondary platform.
Before Wipro Enterprises, Surendran served as Head – Digital & ERP CoE, Bottling Investments Group at The Coca-Cola Company. He led digital and ERP transformation initiatives, including Sales Force Automation, B2B commerce integration, Azure-based data analytics, Connected Factory initiatives, Digital HR and the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. He also migrated two SAP instances to Microsoft Azure, delivering 15% savings.
Surendran spent more than 13 years with Unilever, holding leadership roles including IT Director – Make & Deliver, IT Director – Global Supply Chain Platform and IT Director. His work included digital logistics, track-and-trace solutions, Digital Factory transformation, IoT, predictive maintenance, supply chain platforms and Oracle Transportation Management.
Earlier in his career, he held technology and consulting roles at GE Healthcare, Inatech Solutions, Nexgenix and Triniti Corporation, with experience across ERP, supply chain technology, Oracle and SAP implementations. He began his career as an Engineer at Ballarpur Industries Limited.
In his new role at Britannia Industries, Surendran will bring extensive experience in digital transformation, enterprise technology, data and analytics, cloud, ERP, IoT and technology-led business transformation.
