Procol, the agentic AI source-to-pay platform, has been recognised as the only Indian vendor among 16 global providers in Everest Group’s Innovation Watch: AI-Powered Spend Intelligence 2026. The report, which evaluates the market on client scale, breadth of AI use cases, partnerships, and investment, has positioned Procol as an ‘Influencer’ in the assessment.
The assessment describes a shift underway in procurement: from historical spend reporting toward continuous, AI-enabled intelligence that pulls together spend, supplier, contract, category, pricing, and risk data into decision support that looks forward rather than back.
Everest Group also maps how far each capability has matured. Data cleansing, supplier normalization, spend classification, conversational analytics, and anomaly detection are relatively established. Predictive intelligence, scenario modeling, workflow orchestration, and autonomous action initiation are identified as high-potential but requiring stronger data, integration, and governance.
As AI capabilities mature, Everest Group expects spend intelligence to move toward greater autonomy, with AI increasingly monitoring procurement data, recommending actions, and initiating defined tasks under appropriate human oversight and approval controls.
“The parts the market finds hardest are the parts worth building,” said Gaurav Baheti, Founder and CEO, Procol. “Most spend tools tell you what happened. The harder problem—and the one we’ve built Clara around—is closing the gap between an insight and the action it should trigger. That takes clean data, real integration into the systems enterprises already run, and governance people trust. There isn’t a shortcut.“
Procol’s Spend Analytics Agent turns raw spend data into real-time insights and benchmarks, while its AI Control Tower gives procurement and finance teams conversational access to spend, supplier, and invoice data across the source-to-pay cycle. The platform manages more than $30 billion in spend across 200+ enterprises in 10+ countries, running on top of existing ERPs including SAP and Oracle.
