Abhishek Gupta has joined Akasa Air as Chief Information Officer, based in Delhi and Mumbai.
Prior to joining Akasa Air, Gupta served as Corporate Head – Information Technology at DishTV, where he spent more than seven years leading the company’s IT function. Before that, he served as Vice President – IT at DishTV for over four years, gaining extensive experience in technology management, SaaS and product road mapping.
Earlier, Gupta was Practice Lead – Mobility & Emerging Technologies at Ericsson, where he worked on emerging technology initiatives and mobility solutions.
Gupta also completed the PGPX programme at IIM Ahmedabad, where he served as MBA Student and Placement Coordinator.
Before Ericsson, he served as Head of Corporate IT (India) at Orange Business Services, following his earlier role as Application Manager at IPsoft. He began his career with Tata Consultancy Services as an IT Analyst.
With more than two decades of experience across IT leadership, enterprise technology, application management, mobility and emerging technologies, Gupta brings extensive technology leadership experience to his new role at Akasa Air.
