Aditya Birla Group has rolled out “Vidhi,” an AI-powered legal research tool, for its in-house lawyers.
Chief Legal Officer Deepak Acharya unveiled the system at the company’s Annual Legal Meet in Goa, as per his post on LinkedIn.
The tool aims to make legal research more efficient, letting lawyers focus on critical decision-making rather than routine research tasks.
“Our goal isn’t just to introduce another tool—it is to empower our in-house counsels with a smarter way to use legal research,” Acharya said.
The project marks a collaboration between the group’s legal and IT teams, led by Group CIO Manish Gupta.
This move aligns with Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla’s vision for AI adoption across the business.
“AI now seems to be poised to be the next frontier for both corporations and nations,” Birla told Business Standard earlier.
“We are still scratching the surface on what it means for business and for the nation. The process of unlocking the full power of AI is probably going to be the most fascinating evolution of the coming decade.”
