Cymulate Adds Cybersecurity Industry Veteran to Board of Directors

Former Rapid7 Executive Lee Weiner will help steer the company’s next stage of innovation and growth.

Cymulate, the company in exposure management and security validation, announced that Lee Weiner, former Chief Innovation Officer at Rapid7, has joined the Cymulate board of directors.

The Cymulate board contains leaders across the cybersecurity industry, all focused on shaping Cymulate’s growth, product strategy, and go-to-market priorities.

“Through our growth and product innovation, Cymulate can attract proven cybersecurity product leaders like Lee to our board,” said Eyal Wachsman, CEO and Co-Founder of Cymulate. “Lee has deftly taken cybersecurity products to market and understands the need for cyber programs to implement exposure management and security validation. His deep industry experience, knowledge, and leadership are invaluable assets, and we are fortunate to have him on our board of directors.”

Weiner has over 25 years of experience in the B2B software market, specializing in cybersecurity technology. Before joining Cymulate, Weiner was the Chief Innovation Officer at Rapid7. Over his 11 years with Rapid7, he played key roles in helping the company transform its product portfolio while scaling to thousands of customers. He also held senior positions with LogMeIn, Symantec, and Netegrity. His wealth of knowledge in the cybersecurity space includes expertise in risk assessment, identity management, and threat detection. Weiner also has significant experience leading companies from the early stage to IPO and beyond – from a single product to multi-product portfolios while driving motivation, alignment, and change.

“As a result of an ever-evolving threat landscape, maintaining cybersecurity resilience through continuous assessing and testing is critical to companies around the world,” said Weiner. “Cymulate is a formidable leader in proactive cybersecurity and an innovator in the growing market of exposure management. I am excited to join the board of Cymulate to help the company continue to meet customer needs of an ever-changing threat landscape where continuous, automated security assessment and risk mitigation is needed to keep up with increasing attacks.”
