Recognizing the importance of Gujarat in the enterprise IT map of India, CIO Klub, India?s largest association of Chief Information Officers and IT Heads, has launched its 10th chapter in Ahmedabad.
Senior CIOs, Sanjay Kotha, President & Group CIO, Adani Group and Sanjay Molarwar, CIO, Zydus Cadila?both of whom have officiated as jury members in annual NEXT100 Awards?have taken over as president and secretary of the newly formed chapter.
NEXT100 winner Saloni Vijay, Regional IT Head, Vodafone Idea has been appointed as vice president while another NEXT100 winner, Anish Sharma, Head – IT of elnfochips, will be the treasurer.
Other management committee members include Biren Parikh, CIO, CERA Sanitaryware; Dhaval Mankad, CIO, Havemore Ice Cream; Nitin Parmar, CIO, Arvind; Paresh Goswami, IT Head, Suzuki (Sanand Plant); Rahil Patel, CIO, Kalupur Cooperative Bank; and Shivam Mittal, CIO, INTAAS Pharma. Mankad, Parmar, and Goswami are NEXT100 winners.
?Gujarat/Ahmedabad area has become an important business hub and is continuing to evolve. There was a need to connect the CIO community in the western belt, Ahmedabad being the hub and the evolving neighbour cities like Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot and Sanand,? said Umesh Mehta, President of the Governing Body of CIO Klub.
?We are excited to enter into the double digits on the launch of the 10th chapter,? he added.
Founded in 2008, today CIO Klub is the largest non-profit association of Chief Information Officers in India with over 1200+ members across India. It is an association of the CIOs, by the CIOs and for the CIOs. It is governed by a Governing Body and each chapter has a managing committee to drive the CIO Klub objective nationally.
The other working chapters of CIO Klub are in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kerala and Kolkata.
