Indian-origin Arvind Krishna appointed new IBM CEO

Indian-origin Arvind Krishna has been appointed as the new CEO of IBM. Krishna, currently the company?s SVP – Cloud & Cognitive Software, succeeds Ginni Rometty. Krishna joined IBM in 1990 and has held various senior management and leadership positions throughout these 30 years. He joins an elite list of Indian-origin executives at the top of the world?s biggest tech companies: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen.

Krishna completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of IIinois and BTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Kanpur.
