The Nemetschek Group, a leading global provider of vertical AI and software solutions for the AEC/O and media industries, is underscoring the next stage of its AI strategy with a family of premium AI offerings across its core segments: Archicad Max for architecture, Allplan Max for engineering, and Bluebeam Max for construction. All three are powered by the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform, the Group’s common AI and data foundation, and share one principle: AI that takes on repetitive work, makes project knowledge and data accessible, increases quality and keeps professionals in control of every decision.
Architecture, engineering and construction firms face growing project complexity, tight schedules and a shortage of staff. Much of their time still goes into searching for information, checking models and drawings, and repeating routine tasks. The Max offerings within the Nemetschek Ecosystem are designed to give that time back – inside the workflows teams already rely on, and without locking their data into a single vendor’s ecosystem. With Archicad Max, Allplan Max and Bluebeam Max, the Nemetschek Group puts practical, open and interoperable AI into the tools millions of professionals along the building lifecycle already use – from first sketch to the construction site.
“AI in our industry only creates real value when it understands the project, works where professionals work and connects with everything else on the job,” says Julian Geiger, Chief AI Officer of the Nemetschek Group. “With Archicad Max, Allplan Max and Bluebeam Max, we are scaling one AI strategy across design, engineering and construction, built on a shared intelligence platform rather than isolated features. And we are doing it the Nemetschek way: open. Our AI connects to open standards like IFC and to the AI tools our customers choose, through open protocols such as the Model Context Protocol. Customers keep ownership of their data, their choice of tools and their professional judgment. That is how AI becomes a trusted part of everyday work, not just another platform to be locked into.”
One platform, Multiple disciplines
Archicad Max – design intelligence for architects
Graphisoft’s new premium Archicad subscription is built for data- and AI-driven practices delivering high-complexity projects. It brings an agentic AI Assistant (beta) that completes multi-step tasks directly in the Archicad model, AI Assistant Spaces that ground answers in a firm’s own standards and project knowledge, and the updated AI Visualizer with leading image models. Archicad Max also includes early access to the Nemetschek Creator, the Group’s next-generation, browser-based platform for early-stage design, with full access once the commercial version is released in 2027.
Allplan Max – AI built for real engineering workflows
Allplan Max 2027, launched earlier this week alongside Allplan 2027, extends AI across the Group’s engineering portfolio (Allplan, SCIA, FRILO, RISA and SDS2), supporting a connected model, analyzing and fabricating workflows. Capabilities include Feature Builder, AI BIM Modeler, AI Visualizer, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst, AI Structural Analyst, AI Drafter and AI Coach. Early beta users report up to 36 percent faster completion of selected tasks. Engineers remain responsible for design intent, review, approval and final outcomes.
Bluebeam Max – AI-powered productivity for construction teams
Available globally since May 2026, Bluebeam Max extends Bluebeam Revu with Smart Review to catch design discrepancies, scope gaps and missing information early, Smart Overlay to identify changes across drawing sets, Magic Markups to automate repetitive markup and takeoffs, and stitching to combine drawing sheets into one navigable view for large infrastructure projects. More than 2,000 early adopters reported significant productivity gains in preconstruction, design coordination and construction management. Since September 2026, Bluebeam Max is also free for eligible students and educators worldwide.
Open by design: AI that connects, not confines
Openness has been a defining principle of the Nemetschek Group for decades, and it now extends to AI. Instead of tying customers to a single proprietary environment, the Max offerings are designed to work across tools, vendors and project partners:
· Open AI connectivity: MCP is used by the Nemetschek AI Assistant to interact with the software and also enables access for 3rd party AI applications. Archicad Max provides a Public Archicad MCP Server (beta) that connects the desktop AI applications an office already uses directly to the Archicad model. Bluebeam Max supports the Model Context Protocol for Anthropic Claude, GitHub Copilot CLI and AnythingLLM, turning natural-language prompts into markups and project insights.
· Cross-vendor workflows: Connected Studio Sessions link Bluebeam markups directly to the right location in Revit drawing and model views, bridging PDF and BIM regardless of the authoring tool.
· Open standards and Open BIM: As a long-standing champion of Open BIM and IFC, the Nemetschek Group builds its AI on open data exchange, so project information can flow between disciplines and partners across the entire building lifecycle.
· Human in control: Across all three offerings, AI proposes, automates and analyzes; professionals review, decide and remain accountable.
A shared foundation that scales across the Group
The Max offerings build on the Group’s AI journey, from the AI Layer announced in 2024 and the Nemetschek AI Assistant rolled out across brands since 2025, to today’s agentic, model-aware capabilities. Because they share the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform, every investment in AI benefits customers across brands, and innovations developed for one discipline can scale to others over time.
