Next100 2023 winner Shankar Venkatesan has taken on the role of CISO & Vice-President – IT at Violin Technologies. With over 25 years of expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, Shankar will lead Violin’s IT and Information Security functions, driving alignment between technology and business priorities.
In his new role, he will spearhead initiatives to enhance the company’s cybersecurity framework, strengthen its Group SAP landscape, and accelerate automation across operations. Prior to joining Violin, Shankar held strategic leadership positions at Avalon Technologies, where he led IT and InfoSec functions across multi-cloud environments and large enterprise systems.
His vast experience across data centers, Zero Trust architecture, vulnerability management, and SAP security, combined with numerous industry accolades including the CIO 200 “Legend” Award and the Security Leadership Award 2023, makes him a pivotal asset for Violin Technologies’ continued innovation in the Manufacturing and EMS sector.
