Ravi Kumar Pangal has joined IndusInd Bank Limited as Chief Information Officer, marking a significant addition to the bank’s technology leadership as it continues to strengthen its digital and core banking capabilities.
In his new role, Ravi will lead the bank’s overall technology strategy, with a focus on modernizing core banking platforms, driving large-scale digital transformation, and enabling secure, resilient, and scalable IT systems to support IndusInd Bank’s business growth and customer-centric initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Ravi spent nearly nine years at HSBC, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Global CIO – Core Banking and CIO – Retail Products. At HSBC, he led complex, global transformation programs across core banking and retail technology, managing large teams and multi-geography change initiatives spanning Asia, Europe, and global delivery centers.
Earlier in his career, he held senior technology leadership roles at Standard Chartered and ANZ, where he played a pivotal role in delivery transformation, risk and consumer finance technology, and strategic PMO-led execution. His foundational years included roles at Reuters and Wipro, giving him deep exposure to financial systems, trading platforms, and enterprise technology operations.
With decades of experience across global banking, core platforms, and large-scale IT transformation, Ravi Kumar Pangal’s appointment is expected to accelerate IndusInd Bank’s journey toward a more agile, digitally advanced, and future-ready technology ecosystem.
