Rohith Chintawar joins Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services as Chief Digital and Information Officer

Rohith Chintawar has joined Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services Limited as Chief Digital and Information Officer, effective June 2026. He will lead the company’s digital and technology transformation across research and development, drug discovery, GMP manufacturing, quality and corporate functions.

In his new role, Chintawar will drive the development of Aurigene.AI, the company’s proprietary AI-assisted drug discovery platform, leveraging AI/ML, generative AI, scientific data, computational chemistry and predictive modelling to accelerate drug discovery.

He will also focus on expanding AI, GenAI, data analytics and intelligent automation across the enterprise, while modernising GxP technology, GMP manufacturing systems, laboratory digitisation, enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Aurigene, Chintawar served as Chief Digital and Information Officer at H & R Johnson (India), part of Prism Johnson Limited, where he led the group’s digital transformation initiatives, focusing on AI, data analytics, Industry 4.0, technology infrastructure and information security.

Before that, he spent over five years as Chief Digital Officer at BirlaNu, where he developed and executed digital strategies across manufacturing, supply chain, sales and support functions. He led initiatives involving IoT, data analytics and AI to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation.

Earlier, Chintawar worked as a Senior Consultant in Strategy & Operations at Hitachi Consulting, specialising in digital transformation, manufacturing, supply chain optimisation and operations management.

He also spent over five years at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant, advising clients in the oil and gas industry on market development, growth strategies and business transformation.

With extensive experience in digital strategy, AI, data analytics, manufacturing technology and enterprise transformation, Chintawar brings a broad technology leadership background to his new role at Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services.
