In his new role, he will lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, information security governance, cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, security operations, and cyber resilience initiatives, helping strengthen Bajaj Life Insurance’s security posture in an increasingly digital financial services landscape.
Prior to joining Bajaj Life Insurance, he served as Chief Information Security Officer at Zurich Kotak General Insurance, where he led enterprise cybersecurity, information security governance, cyber risk management, and regulatory compliance while driving strategic security initiatives across the organization.
Earlier, he was Vice President – Information Security at BNP Paribas, overseeing information security programs and strengthening cybersecurity capabilities for the organization.
Before that, he spent over six years at IndusInd Bank as DVP – Information Security, leading enterprise information security initiatives, security governance, and risk management across the bank’s technology landscape.
He also served as Group Head – Information Security and IT Projects at IndiaFirst Life Insurance Co Ltd, where he was responsible for enterprise information security and strategic IT projects supporting the insurer’s digital transformation.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Polaris Software Lab as Senior Manager – Information Security and Audit, Bharti Axa Life Insurance as Information Security Manager, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co Ltd as Manager – IT, Centurion Bank of Panjab as Assistant Manager – IT, IL&FS in the Technology Group, and SMC System Integrators as Senior Executive – Support Services, building a strong foundation in IT infrastructure, enterprise security, and technology operations.
With over 27 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, information security governance, cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, IT infrastructure, security operations, and digital transformation across banking, financial services, and insurance, Sammeer brings deep expertise in building resilient security frameworks and safeguarding mission-critical enterprise environments.
