Zoho Notebook Introduces Advanced AI Features, expands student edition to include Notebook AI

Zoho, the global technology company, has announced significant enhancements to Zoho Notebook, its comprehensive note-taking application, introducing powerful artificial intelligence features that streamline how teams capture, organise, and retrieve information. These updates are aimed at reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering practical, privacy-focused productivity tools that address real workplace challenges. Additionally, Zoho Notebook has enhanced its free student edition with the latest AI-powered updates, giving students access to the platform’s newest innovations.

The latest version of Zoho Notebook, built on Zoho’s long-standing privacy-first architecture, transforms how organisations manage their collective knowledge. Teams can now work together in dedicated shared workspaces organised around specific projects or departments, while the integrated whiteboard functionality supports diverse content types including text, images, hand-drawn sketches, and geometric shapes. This creates a unified environment where ideas can flow naturally across different formats.

Zoho Notebook stands out owing to its thoughtful integration throughout the Zoho ecosystem. Users working in Zoho CRM, Zoho Projects, or Zoho Mail can seamlessly reference and create documentation without switching contexts, establishing Zoho Notebook as the central repository for organisational knowledge. This interconnected approach reduces information silos and helps teams maintain consistency across their workflows.

The introduction of Notebook AI brings Zoho’s in-house AI stack, Zia’s, capabilities directly into the note-taking experience, offering several intelligent features that save time and improve content quality:

The note-taking application now comes with an Intelligent Q&A Assistant, which seamlessly retrieves context-aware answers from personal notes via Ask with My Content, or generates insights on any topic using the Ask Anything feature. With Meeting notes, users can convert spoken content into organised, timestamped written notes complete with speaker identification and automatic summaries, making meetings and interviews immediately actionable. The app also includes Mind Map Generation which takes lengthy documents and instantly visualises them as clear, hierarchical mind maps, helping users grasp complex information structures at a glance.

Zoho Notebook has also introduced Smart Note Creation which allows users to create structured content instantly, such as task checklists, formatted tables, reusable templates, and tagged notes, simplifying the process of capturing and organising ideas. With Writing Enhancement users now have on-demand assistance for refining content, whether they need concise summaries, grammatical corrections, alternative phrasings, or tone adjustments suited to their audience.

To enhance regional language support, the application comes with Multilingual Voice Search and Translation that breaks down language barriers, enabling users to locate specific information through voice commands and convert content between different languages as needed. Currently, the application supports 80 global languages, including eight Indian languages, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, and Sanskrit.

Additionally, Zoho Notebook’s Tone and Voice Customisation feature allows users to switch between professional, friendly, direct, or confident tones to create audience-specific content from formal reports to casual memos.

Zoho Notebook will soon offer a new integration between Zoho Voice and Zoho CRM which will bring automatic call transcriptions and meeting or sales notes directly inside CRM records. Zoho CRM users will then be able to review, summarise, and attach AI-generated meeting and sales notes instantly.

These developments reflect Zoho’s ongoing focus on building productivity tools that genuinely understand how modern teams work. Rather than forcing users to adapt to rigid software structures, Zoho Notebook moulds itself around natural workflows while providing intelligent assistance that amplifies human capability.

The Notebook AI enhancements are also included in the free student edition of the application, allowing students to organise their ideas and boost productivity with both Notebook’s classic note-taking tools and Notebook AI’s intelligent features, making it an all-in-one experience.
