Polycab India Limited has appointed Gyan Pandey as Executive President & Chief Digital & Information Officer, marking a significant step in strengthening the company’s digital, data, and enterprise technology strategy.
Gyan joins from Voltas Limited, where he served as Chief Digital Officer / Head Digital and led large-scale digital transformation initiatives across geographies and business sectors. He championed a “Digital First” agenda, built a robust digital ecosystem, and developed a five-year roadmap to transition the organization into a data-driven enterprise. His leadership included driving AI adoption, process automation, and cost optimization initiatives while fostering a culture of innovation and performance improvement through digital channels.
Prior to Voltas, Gyan spent over seven years as Global and Group CIO at Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, overseeing global IT operations across 16 countries and supporting business operations in over 150 markets. He established a global shared services model, rebuilt IT for digital innovation, led complex integrations for acquisitions, and conceptualized the award-winning healthcare app Zoylo. His experience spans enterprise architecture, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, IT-OT integration, infrastructure modernization, and large-scale ERP transformations.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Qatar Petrochemical Company, Oracle, Genpact, and Panasonic India Pvt Ltd, building deep expertise in ERP, global delivery, shared services, and business-IT alignment.
With more than two decades of experience across manufacturing, pharma, petrochemicals, and technology services, Gyan Pandey’s appointment positions Polycab to accelerate its digital transformation journey, strengthen data governance, and embed AI-led innovation across operations and customer ecosystems.
