Dr. Sandeep Bhandari has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer – India & APAC at NTT DATA, taking on the role in June 2026.
Prior to his appointment, Bhandari served as Vice President & Business Head at KYW Tech Private Limited. He also previously worked with NTT DATA as Associate Director – IT & Networks, where he spent nearly three years.
Before returning to NTT DATA, Bhandari was Senior Manager – IT at Coforge, where he worked across IT governance, infrastructure, cybersecurity, critical incident management, change management and digital transformation. He also drove initiatives related to IT asset management, hybrid contact centre solutions and information security practices aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Earlier, Bhandari spent more than four years at Collabera as Senior Manager – IT, leading IT infrastructure and application service delivery initiatives. His work included digitalisation using cloud, AI and data analytics, IT process optimisation, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications, and several technology transformation projects.
Bhandari also held the position of Senior Service Desk Manager at Trimax IT Infrastructure & Services. Earlier in his career, he worked with HCL Technologies as a Server Administrator, managing Windows servers, user account lifecycles and service performance reporting.
He began his career at IBM, where he served as Team Lead – IT Infrastructure and Operations, handling incident management, client escalations, people management and IT systems upgrade projects as part of IBM’s Global Delivery Framework.
With extensive experience spanning cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, governance, risk management, compliance, digital transformation and technology operations, Bhandari brings a broad leadership background to his new role at NTT DATA.
