Gajapathy Srinivasalu has taken on the dual responsibility of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Adani Total Private Limited.
In his expanded role, Srinivasalu will drive IT strategy, infrastructure modernization and digital transformation while also leading cybersecurity across both IT and OT environments. His responsibilities will include cybersecurity governance and risk management, IT and OT security programs, regulatory and security compliance, cybersecurity resilience and incident preparedness, and continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.
Srinivasalu has been associated with Adani Total Private Limited since October 2024, initially serving as Head of Information Technology. With more than 23 years of experience, he has worked across IT strategy and planning, digital transformation, data analytics, cybersecurity, IT frameworks and technology-led business initiatives.
Before joining Adani Total Private Limited, Srinivasalu served as Head of Information Technology at Adani Ports and SEZ. During his tenure, he modernized IT infrastructure, reducing system downtime by 40%, implemented cybersecurity measures that reduced data breaches by 50%, optimized cloud services and storage architecture, and deployed a SOHO model across 100 sites in India, resulting in an infrastructure cost reduction of INR 15 crore.
Earlier, he served as Head of Service Operations India at Colt Technology Services, where he led India service operations with P&L responsibility for data centre services. He also spent a decade with Schneider Electric India as Associate General Manager – IT Operations, Application and Service Management, managing IT operations across more than 40 countries in Europe and EMEA.
Srinivasalu began his career in technology and IT operations roles at Microsoft R&D India, iGATE Global Solutions and Convergys India Services, building extensive experience in infrastructure management, service operations and technology transformation.
