Prakash Patel has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Privacy Officer at Baroda Global Shared Services Ltd.
Prior to joining Baroda Global Shared Services, Patel served as AVP – IT Infra & Security at Brain Payroll, where he spearheaded the design, implementation and management of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and helped secure ISO 27001:2022 certification across the global group.
At Brain Payroll, he also led internal security audits and worked with external certification bodies, while establishing enterprise risk management practices including a Risk Register, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and security playbooks aligned with ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Patel also led privacy compliance for payroll operations, developing a privacy framework aligned with the UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023. His work included ROPA governance, risk-based DPIAs, Data Subject Rights management, third-party data processing agreements and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
Earlier, he served as IT Manager at I-Serve Systems, where he was responsible for IT policies, security, system audits, major technology projects, IT budgets and team leadership. He also held technical consulting and IT services roles at Elitser Technologies, Microlink Solution and Asian Media & Marketing Group.
With extensive experience spanning information security, privacy, IT infrastructure, governance, compliance, risk management and IT operations, Patel brings a broad technology and cybersecurity background to his new role.
