Narrottam Sharma has been appointed as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) at Tata Communications. 

In his new role, he will lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, driving digital innovation, operational excellence, business modernization, and technology-led growth to accelerate Tata Communications’ strategic transformation agenda. 

Prior to this appointment, Narrottam served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., where he led the organization’s technology strategy, digital transformation, and IT modernization initiatives. 

Earlier, he was Global Chief Information Officer at Mastek, overseeing global IT strategy and enterprise technology transformation. Before that, he served as Head IT Transformation (CIO & CISO) at Sterlite Technologies Limited, leading enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation programs. 

He also held the role of Head IT & Information Security (CIO & CISO) at Samsung R&D Institute India (SRI-Delhi), where he managed technology operations, information security, and enterprise IT initiatives. 

Earlier in his career, Narrottam served as Head – IT at Aviva, Senior Manager – Technology at RBS India, Assistant Manager – Technology at Bank of America, Senior Executive – IT at IBM Daksh, and began his professional journey as an IT Support Executive at Iris Computers. 

With over 25 years of experience across telecommunications, technology services, manufacturing, banking, financial services, retail, and consumer industries, Narrottam brings deep expertise in digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, cybersecurity, IT governance, infrastructure modernization, service delivery, cloud adoption, and operational excellence, positioning him to lead Tata Communications’ next phase of business transformation.
