Prafful Goel has taken on the role of Chief Information Security Officer at Indifi Capital.
Prior to joining Indifi Capital, Goel served as Head – Infosec GRC and Head – Risk Compliance at Hero FinCorp, where he focused on enterprise-wide cyber risk governance, regulatory compliance, resilience planning and cybersecurity investment and architecture oversight.
Before Hero FinCorp, Goel spent two years at Airtel Payments Bank, where he held leadership roles in IT, information security and audit. He was responsible for risk-based IT audit programmes covering cybersecurity, data privacy and regulatory compliance, including engagements with regulators and external auditors.
Earlier, Goel served at Paytm Payments Bank in roles including Head – IT/IS Audits and Head of Information Technology. His responsibilities included IT and information security audits, operational risk management, outsourcing risk, technology and information security advisory, vendor risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
Goel previously worked with PwC India as Principal Consultant, where he led digital transformation and digital payments projects and provided technology and information security advisory services to government and corporate clients. He also worked with the National eGovernance Division, MeitY, managing national e-governance and IT infrastructure programmes across ministries and states.
He began his career with HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services, gaining experience across programme management, risk and continuity management, IT and information security audits, network security assessments and application security.
With extensive experience spanning cybersecurity, information security, risk governance, IT audits, regulatory compliance and digital transformation, Goel brings a broad security and risk leadership background to his new role at Indifi Capital.
