Rohit Sharma has joined Siemens Energy India Limited as Head of Cybersecurity.
In this role, he will lead cybersecurity strategy, critical infrastructure protection, cyber resilience, risk management, and security operations to support secure and scalable digital transformation across the organization’s energy ecosystem.
Prior to this, he served as Head of Cyber Security & Chief Risk Officer at Adani Power, where he led enterprise cyber risk management, governance, and security strategy initiatives.
Earlier at Adani, he also held the positions of Head of Cyber Security (Vice President) and Head of Cyber Security at Adani Power Ltd & Adani Energy Solutions Ltd., driving cybersecurity operations, policy frameworks, infrastructure protection, and enterprise security transformation programs.
Before joining Adani Group, he spent nearly two decades with NTPC Limited across multiple cybersecurity and IT leadership roles. As DGM (IT-Security), he led Cyber Security Operations Center initiatives, cyber crisis management planning, incident response, ISO-27001 programs, and critical information infrastructure protection efforts.
Earlier at NTPC, he served as Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Engineer, and Engineer, managing cybersecurity operations, SIEM, advanced malware prevention, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability assessment, networking, VPNs, satellite communications, and enterprise infrastructure security.
With more than two decades of experience across cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, risk management, SOC operations, and enterprise security transformation, he brings deep expertise in securing large-scale energy and industrial ecosystems.
