SolarWinds appoints Shrirang Rao as Regional Sales Director for India & SAARC to accelerate regional growth and strengthen strategic enterprise partnerships  

Shrirang Rao has joined SolarWinds as Regional Sales Director for India & SAARC.  

In this role, he will focus on scaling regional business growth, deepening enterprise and channel partnerships, and helping organizations simplify IT complexity through resilient, high-impact infrastructure and observability solutions.  

Prior to this, he served as Director Strategic Accounts at Veeam Software, where he led strategic engagements with major enterprise customers and consulting organizations, focusing on secure, scalable, and software-defined data protection solutions.  

Earlier, he was Vice President of Sales at Wysetek Systems Technologists Pvt. Ltd., driving business growth across enterprise and SMB segments while leading cross-functional sales and go-to-market initiatives.  

He also spent more than a decade with Cisco in multiple leadership roles including Head- Commercial & Small Business India & SAARC, Head- Enterprise, Digital Native Enterprises & Small Business, Business Development Manager- IT/ITeS Segment, and Product Sales Specialist- Data Centre. During this period, he led large-scale enterprise sales, GTM strategy, channel growth, cloud and data center transformation initiatives, and customer engagement across India and SAARC.  

Before that, he held leadership roles at Lenovo as National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager, where he significantly expanded SMB business growth, channel development, and market share expansion initiatives.  

Earlier in his career, he spent nearly six years with Dell India across multiple sales and business development leadership roles, driving enterprise sales growth, partner ecosystem expansion, and customer success initiatives.  

He also worked with Ingram Micro, Omnitech InfoSolutions Ltd., Macot See, and Crompton Greaves, building strong expertise across enterprise sales, channel management, and technology solutions.  

With nearly three decades of experience across enterprise technology, cloud, data center, observability, cybersecurity, and channel-led growth, he brings deep expertise in building scalable business ecosystems and driving customer-centric digital transformation.
