Sumeet Mishra begins his new role as Chief Information Security Officer at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd!

Sumeet Mishra has stepped into the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd, marking a significant milestone in his extensive career in cybersecurity and information security management. After nearly six years with the bank in progressive leadership roles, Sumeet now leads the institution’s security strategy, governance, and cyber defense initiatives.

With deep expertise across data privacy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity operations, network security, and industry standards, Sumeet has been instrumental in shaping Suryoday’s security posture. His work spans developing robust security policies, strengthening cyber operations, enabling secure digital transformation, and ensuring adherence to RBI and CERT-In guidelines.

Prior to becoming CISO, Sumeet served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, where he spearheaded critical functions including information security risk management, vulnerability assessments, secure SDLC practices, vendor governance, and security awareness programs. He also played a key role in preparing the bank for ISO 27001 certification and managing enterprise-wide security assessments.

Before joining Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Sumeet gained diverse experience across cybersecurity roles at Paladion Inc., SI Group, Wipro Infotech, 3i Infotech, and Euronet Services, building strong technical foundations in infrastructure security, threat analysis, antivirus administration, and IT support management.

With over 15 years of hands-on cybersecurity expertise, Sumeet brings a powerful mix of leadership, technical proficiency, and regulatory insight—positioning him to enhance Suryoday’s cyber resilience as the bank continues its digital growth journey.
