Taposh Saha Takes on Senior Vice President – Information Technology Role at HDFC Bank

Taposh Saha has stepped into a new role as Senior Vice President – Information Technology at HDFC Bank, marking a significant milestone in his nearly two-decade-long journey with the organization.

In his new position, Taposh will continue to play a critical role in driving large-scale digital initiatives, with a strong focus on digital journeys across rural, agri, and alternate banking channels. He has been instrumental in shaping and delivering end-to-end digital solutions for key financial inclusion programs, including Cattle Loans, KCC Loans, and PM Swanidhi Loans—many of which are closely tracked by the RBI and the RBI Innovation Hub.

Over the years, Taposh has led multiple high-impact digital transformation programs at HDFC Bank, spanning digital acquisition platforms, CRM implementations, microservices-based architectures, and seamless integrations with RBI and government sandboxes. His work has enabled innovations in areas such as VKYC, gig worker enablement, PM schemes, land record integrations, and API-driven ecosystem partnerships.

Most recently, he has been leading the development of a comprehensive digital onboarding platform for corporate partners and agents, enabling end-to-end self-service onboarding and multi-product distribution across savings accounts, deposits, loans, and credit cards.

Having grown through the ranks from Assistant Manager to Senior Vice President, Taposh brings deep institutional knowledge, strong execution capability, and hands-on leadership in digital banking, IT program management, and large-scale platform delivery. His elevation reflects HDFC Bank’s continued focus on strengthening its digital and technology leadership to support inclusive, scalable, and future-ready banking.
