Enlight Metals Launches India’s First Agentic AI-Enabled Marketplace for Metals

Enlight Metals Private Limited, India’s first Agentic AI-enabled metal procurement platform, today announced the launch of its marketplace for metals, designed to transform how businesses discover suppliers, evaluate sourcing options and connect with potential buyers. By bringing buyers and suppliers onto a common platform, the marketplace aims to make metal procurement more transparent, accessible and efficient.

Moving beyond conventional, relationship-driven sourcing, the marketplace enables buyers to explore multiple suppliers, compare available options and assess supplier credibility before making procurement decisions. At the same time, suppliers gain greater visibility among buyers actively seeking the products they offer. Supplier profiles, platform onboarding checks and buyer reviews can help users make more informed decisions, while access to multiple sourcing options can support competitive pricing, quality assurance and more dependable transactions.

The marketplace covers six primary product categories: flat steel, structural steel, TMT bars, value-added steel products, pipes and tubes, and ferro alloys. Its portfolio includes over 25 steel products and grades, including hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel, galvanized coils and sheets, structural beams, angles and channels, mild steel pipes, cable trays, slotted angles and earthing strips, among other industrial steel products.

Designed to address the fragmented nature of traditional steel procurement, the platform serves manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), infrastructure companies, EPC contractors, fabricators and renewable energy businesses. It aims to help buyers identify suitable suppliers, evaluate sourcing options, compare commercial terms and coordinate fulfilment with greater efficiency.

Enlight Metals is developing an AI-enabled procurement ecosystem that brings together product specifications, supplier matching, pricing, availability and delivery requirements. Its roadmap includes capabilities such as demand forecasting, procurement planning, inventory optimisation and automated replenishment, with the objective of helping businesses anticipate material requirements and make more informed sourcing decisions.

Dhananjay Goel, Managing Director, Enlight Metals Private Limited, said, “Metal procurement has traditionally been a fragmented process, where discovering the right supplier, comparing prices, assessing quality and verifying credibility can require considerable time and effort. Our marketplace is designed to change this by bringing buyers and suppliers closer together through a more transparent and technology-led ecosystem. Buyers can explore multiple options and assess supplier credibility, while suppliers can connect with a wider pool of relevant customers. We believe this can improve sourcing efficiency, encourage more competitive deals and help both sides make better-informed decisions.”

The marketplace launch builds on Enlight Metals’ broader vision of transforming metal procurement through technology and operational expertise. Following its recent USD 1.5 million funding from Exar North Group Inc. at a USD 10 million valuation, the company plans to strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its supplier network and broaden product availability. It also intends to enhance logistics coordination and fulfilment capabilities to support growing customer requirements.

As India’s industrial ecosystem expands, Enlight Metals aims to make steel sourcing more organised, responsive and accessible. The company will continue to expand its product portfolio in line with customer demand and its ability to ensure reliable sourcing and fulfilment.
