Gopi Thangavel has joined Larsen & Toubro as Group CIO. Before this, he served as Senior Vice President at Reliance Industries Limited, where he was instrumental in managing enterprise infrastructure for various business sectors, including hydrocarbon, petrochemicals, retail, life sciences, and e-commerce. Gopi led a large infrastructure operations team handling digital workspaces, data centers, cloud environments, and network operations, along with critical security and compliance management. Previously, he held a key role as Director of IT Infrastructure at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he managed IT infrastructure across multiple global sites, focusing on regulatory compliance, security, and cost optimization. His experience includes leadership roles at Wipro, where he oversaw IT operations, ISO certifications, and implemented cost-saving initiatives, and Agility GIL Shared Services, where he developed IT strategy and implemented disaster recovery procedures, among other achievements.
