Anil Pawar, Chief Operating Officer at Adani Group, has been appointed as a Member of the Apex Statutory Governing Body at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) under the Government of Delhi.
At Adani Group, he is leading large-scale agentic AI capability development, embedding AI into operations, products, and enterprise decision-making while building sovereign, cloud-native infrastructure foundations and techno-commercial governance frameworks.
Prior to this, he served as Chief AI Officer at Yotta Data Services Private Limited, where he led India’s first hyper-sovereign AI cloud and GPU cluster on NVIDIA’s stack, overseeing product, engineering, operations, GTM, and enterprise AI platform delivery.
Earlier, he held multiple leadership roles at Rakuten Mobile, Inc., including Chief Tech Strategist AI Cloud and Platform, Business Head and SVP: Head Of Architecture & Tech Strategy Cloud, and Business Head & Senior Vice President – Technology Innovation and Quality Platform. During this period, he drove Telco-to-TechCo transformation, OpenRAN innovation, AI cloud strategy, automation, and cloud-native platformization initiatives.
Before that, he spent nearly nine years with Jio and Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), where he played a foundational role in designing Jio’s end-to-end 4G network architecture and led R&D engineering for the company’s telecom platforms and services.
He also co-founded Rancore Technologies, contributing to the development of LTE products and telecom innovation for affordable 4G services in India.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Reliance Communications and Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), building deep expertise across telecom technologies, network rollouts, GSM-R, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX solutions.
With more than two decades of experience across AI, cloud, telecom, platform engineering, and digital infrastructure, he brings deep expertise in building scalable, sovereign, and future-ready technology ecosystems.
