Avanade Announces Expansion into India to Support Rising Demand for Microsoft-Powered AI and Cloud Transformation

Avanade, the world’s leading Microsoft expert and 20-time Microsoft Global System Integrator Partner of the Year, today announces its expansion into India, marking a significant milestone in the company’s Asia Pacific growth strategy. The move reflects the growing demand across the region for AI-enabled transformation, cloud modernization, and secure, enterprise-grade digital solutions built on the Microsoft ecosystem for mid-market organizations.

The announcement comes as Avanade joins Microsoft on its AI Tour across APAC, demonstrating how it is helping organizations become ‘Frontier Firms’ in AI and digital transformation. On the sidelines of the tour in India, Bhavya Kapoor, President of Avanade Asia Pacific, joined Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella yesterday for a roundtable discussion on India’s accelerating AI landscape and the role of trusted partners in enabling responsible innovation at scale.

India is one of the world’s fastest-advancing digital economies, characterized by rapid adoption of cloud technologies, strong momentum in AI experimentation, and increasing investment across both emerging enterprises and the midmarket. Organizations across the country are seeking partners that can deliver reliable, measurable transformation outcomes — areas where Avanade has established a strong record across Southeast Asia and the broader region.

“The scale of opportunity in India is immense,” said Bhavya Kapoor, President, Avanade Asia Pacific. “This expansion reflects Avanade’s commitment to partnering with Indian organizations to turn AI and cloud potential into production-scale solutions. By combining global Microsoft expertise with deep local insight, we aim to empower businesses to innovate responsibly, compete confidently, and achieve tangible, long-term impact.”

The expansion builds on Avanade’s strong momentum in APAC and forms part of a multi-market growth strategy to support organizations seeking to modernize with speed, confidence, and measurable business impact. It also follows the company’s acquisition of Total eBiz Solutions, which provided an established presence in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, along with deep expertise in AI, cloud, security, and business applications. These cities will form the initial footprint of Avanade India, supported by continued investment in local leadership, capability development, and talent growth.

Saurabh Kumar Sahu, managing director and lead for India Business at Accenture said,AI presents a massive opportunity to drive business growth, and requires that companies reinvent their processes, talent, and operating models. With Avanade, we are bringing advanced capabilities to accelerate and scale AI led reinvention, unlocking new sources of value for our clients.”

Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia: “India’s digital economy is advancing at remarkable speed, driven by strong demand for cloud, data, and AI solutions across industries. Partners play an important role in helping organizations adopt these technologies responsibly and at scale. Avanade’s expansion into India will further strengthen the Microsoft ecosystem and support the country’s next chapter of digital growth.”

The expansion will also deepen Avanade’s collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture in the market, reflecting a shared objective to accelerate innovation, improve security resilience, and support the next chapter of AI-driven growth in India.
