B. Venkatakishnan, NEXT100 (2012) winner and Head – Shared CIO, Group Technology Office at Mahindra Group, has been entrusted with additional responsibility as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for six key Mahindra Group businesses.
Alongside his current role as Head – Shared CIO for Group Companies, Venkatakishnan will now oversee technology leadership for:
- Mahindra Aerospace
- Mahindra Defence Land Systems
- Mahindra Defence Naval Systems
- Mahindra Trucks and Buses (MTB)
- Mahindra Construction Equipment (MCE)
- SML Mahindra Limited
In this expanded mandate, he will continue to drive group-wide digital transformation, technology synergies, governance, cybersecurity, and IT/OT convergence, while enabling scalable and future-ready digital platforms across diverse manufacturing and mobility businesses.
Venkatakishnan brings over 17 years of leadership experience with the Mahindra Group, having played a pivotal role in greenfield plant IT setup, digital manufacturing, automation, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and large-scale transformation programs. His contributions include driving Industry 4.0 initiatives, developing in-house MES platforms, and leading complex technology transitions across joint ventures and group companies.
His expanded CIO responsibility reinforces Mahindra Group’s focus on unified technology leadership, operational excellence, and digital innovation at scale.
